In order to celebrate upcoming Pakistan Day with zeal and zest, Punjab government has plan out a week long celebrations chart. Ambassadors of friendly countries along with people from different walks of life as well as the students will be invited to attend these celebrations.

In this regard, Minister for Schools Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan presided over a meeting here on Monday to finalize arrangements. Representatives of Information & Culture Department, Walled City Authority Lahore, Transport, Schools Education, Energy and City District Government were present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, Rana Mashhood presided over chancellors committee meeting relating to proposed Punjab Tianjin University of Technical Education at Civil Secretariat Monday. He said that endowment fund will also be established for the students of said university so that they could continue their education without any financial burden. He observed that this university will provide an opportunity to the students to get world-class education in a congenial environment where latest technical and vocational training will be imparted to them so that they could earn their livelihood in an honourable way. This will facilitate the trade and industrial sector in a number of ways, he added.

Provincial Industries Minister Sheikh Allauddin said that this university will help to meet the challenges of technical education as state-of-the-art technical and vocational institutions are need of the hour. The meeting reviewed different matters pertaining to the establishment of Punjab Tianjin University of technical education. Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and representatives of line departments attended the meeting.
